Remove Sliding Door Panel
Removing a fixed sliding glass door panel is primarily done for one of two reasons.
Remove sliding door panel. This enables the door to come out easily. Removing a sliding glass door may seem like a daunting task but once you ve learned the basic process it might be easier than you initially thought. Once this is complete repeat the process with the inside closet door. Slip a flathead screwdriver under the wheels and push them upwards as you lift.
One of the first things to do is to remove the actual sliding panels themselves to get rid of the weight and make it easier to do the job. Then use your screwdriver to unscrew the head stop located at the top of the door frame. In order to remove the sliding one effectively lift it upwards into the upper track and ask a helper to push the bottom gently and carefully toward you. The most common reason is damage to the glass.
If the fixed side of the sliding glass door is held up by a metal strip that attaches to the door jamb remove it. Sliding patio doors have two separate units namely the sliding door panel and the stationary panel. Step 2 lift the sliding door panel out. Remove the outside closet door by first sliding the door to the center of the track.

There are many reasons you may need to remove a sliding glass door including repairing or replacing panes restoring the proper slide or moving large objects like furniture. Next carefully lift the door up at a slight angle to remove the bottom rollers from the track.
