Remove Sliding Wooden Door From Track
4 remove the door completely by fully unscrewing the brackets on top.
Remove sliding wooden door from track. Once you remove all the screws lift the door up and make sure that it is completely removed from the bottom track of the door frame. Step 3 remove the stationary panel. 2 slide the closet doors so one is directly in front of the other. Once the door is completely loose from the frame set it aside somewhere safe such as against the side of the house or lying flat on a work bench.
Then tilt it slightly with help and remove it from the upper track of the door frame as well. In order to remove the sliding one effectively lift it upwards into the upper track and ask a helper to push the bottom gently and carefully toward you. Then angle the door towards you and pull gently detaching the door from its top track. Sliding patio doors have two separate units namely the sliding door panel and the stationary panel.
The door should slide right out of the top track once you ve freed it from the bottom track. Remove the door by pulling it out of the top track of the door frame. Remove the outside closet door by first sliding the door to the center of the track. Next carefully lift the door up at a slight angle to remove the bottom rollers from the track.
4 removing the sliding door before removing the door slide it to the point in the track where you see an indent. Keep lowering the panel until it is completely out of the upper track and free. If the bottom of the door won t come off of the track unscrew all of the brackets off of the bottom and then try it again.
