Removing Siding To Expose Sill

Start by lifting an overlapped piece of vinyl on the top row. Remove it by unscrewing it from its position using the screws to expose the sill. Rinse the trim with a light spray of water to remove dust dirt and debris. Use a garden hose and spray the water downward to avoid getting any beneath the siding panels where it can damage.
Place the palms of your hands on the siding and apply downward pressure until the piece pops free. Observe the bees during the afternoon as that is the most active time of day for yellow jackets. Install exhaust fans in bathrooms to remove steamy air caused by hot showers. Follow where they seem to disappear into the side of your house.
Repaint exterior windows and siding if paint is cracking or peeling.
