Rennogy Solar Panel Which Wire Is Negative

The two current values that are reported on the solar panel label specs are isc and imp.

Rennogy solar panel which wire is negative. I do have the controller box with my panels and was told by renogy tech that i would need a 10amp in line fuse for this application. Only your volt meter will tell you the truth. Series means plugging a positive into a negative on the second panel etc. This wire has both a positive and a negative. We re not going to mess with this wire at all.

The right solar panel is connected with one cable to the left panel. It goes into the conjunction box. Parallel means combining all the positives separate from the negative wires. Make sure that the locking tabs snap in for a firm connection.

In the conjunction box the left panel and the right panel are connected in parallel. Imp refers to maximum power. The bare end of the negative extension wire will now be of negative polarity. I own two different kinds of solar panels from renogy.
