If you toss the guttering clear of the house you might overbalance and fall off the ladder so aim to lower larger sections gently to the ground with a rope. Glue the pieces of cast iron together using repair care resins. It shatters easily and if it lands on a hard surface dangerous fragments can fly off. Small leaks and loose pipes can usually be repaired fairly easily but major restoration work is a specialist job because of the need for working at height and manoeuvring awkward lengths of heavy guttering.
